Even in its own space though, it was outsold by both Pokemon Go and Clash of Clans in their first two weeks. I’ll be interested to see the game’s continued income, especially after a Chinese release.

I’ve been wondering about this since announcement. The necromancer alone violates China’s ridiculous policies. Not sure how they planned a regular release there.
small nitpick, but people really gotta stop pointing at $24 million like it was a success. Diablo 3 made nearly that in its first DAY and surpassed that in the first week.
$24 million is guaranteed to be a fraction of what they were hoping for.
I’ve been super-weary of third party controllers since the days of N64/Mad Catz. But I’ll definitely this out.
I would love to use the d-pad, but unfortunately, Xbox D-pads suck, in my opinion.
copy/pasting from another comment I made.
I never got motion sickness, but after my first extended No Man’s Sky VR session, I experienced something that is hard to explain... basically, it no longer felt like my body was my body. moving my hands felt weird, like i was piloting my body, not just... moving. it’s hard to describe, other than to say that my brain…
After EA announces it wants to be bought? I don’t like the idea of an Amazon owned EA. That level of concentrated evil can’t be good.
That somehow just makes it worse.
I was just about to ask if they announced the Xbox version of Remake. Your comment tells me that they did not. Bastards.
For those wondering, here’s some bulletpoints:
1. Game is incredibly fun and feels like a natural continuation of the classic Arcade game.
2. Being a side scrollling beat em up, there is definitely issues with enemy depth, particularly enemies in flight.
3. The double jump isn’t great.
4. The leveling system seems to be a…
The leveling system offers nice addition to the original gameplay loop that draws you in.
That being said, there are definitely issues with both the format and the game itself.
It’s a solid 8/10, but not without jank.
Because the gameplay was fun and they intentionally made the monetization look less egregious than it was. Once that facade was dropped, so was my supportfor the game.
Left 4 Dead would disagree. Those zombies moved fast.
Can someone tell me what the video said? Because I don’t come to kotaku for videos. The videos I actually liked, they killed. The clips of the week thing from however long ago.
I have a hard time believing this was intentional.
I have just as hard a time believing that it made it all the way to publication without anybody noticing.
I don’t know...
What I DO know is that anyone in the comments talking with any sort of certainty about the intention is talking out of their ass.
Hey, you get ignored, but not actively and aggressively provoked like us Dead Rising fans! I had a small hope that we were going to see something yesterday, but I guess Dead Rising 4 really was the final game, and uhhgghhghgh.
Just as deranged today were the fanboys crying over Persona coming to Xbox. I’m finally going to play Persona 5; wouldn’t a fan of the series be EXCITED about more people playing their favorite series?
The sad part is, it’ll probably work too. I have no problem giving money to F2P games if I feel I’ve gotten a reasonable amount of entertainment out of them. Hell, this game may have gotten me too, had they chose a single monetization scheme. But they chose not only EVERY monetization scheme, but then doubled up on…
