My reticence comes from the peripherals mostly, that and my awful experience with the xbox 360 at release (13 consoles, my local shop received a dodgy pallet).

The previous release errors with Xbox products is enough of a problem for me that I won’t be buying Scorpio until at least 18 months after it releases, I’ve been burned too many times with new release Microsoft products.

Be aware that the xb1s won’t support the modern audio standards like Dolby Atmos. I also read that it won’t do bitstream properly but I can’t get clarification on this from anyone that matters.

My only problem with kinect is that Microsoft lied, if they had been honest and said that they may one day sell the console without Kinect I would have waited for that day but because they said it would categorically never be sold without it I jumped in. Now I have the Kinect which no one bothers to make games for now.

I’m buying it for the 4kblu-ray player.
