Great story from Batman's greatest decade in comic books, long before Frank Miller ruined the character forever. While Adams, Aparo and (before them) Sprang are first and foremost among Batman artists (with a nod to Novick and Rogers), Amendola did a terrific job here.

You should do it. You won't be disappointed.

MOONLIGHTING was shot by Gerald Perry Finnerman, who had tons of experience with soft-focus filming on STAR TREK.

RIPTIDE, which MOONLIGHTING was slaughtering in the ratings, did an episode about MOONLIGHTING with actors doubling Willis and Shepherd.

He's also fantastic playing dual roles on the TWILIGHT ZONE episode he did, which was directed by the late Wes Craven.

I think a lot of them were, because they were theatrical releases overseas. I know some of PM Entertainment's films, such as EXECUTIVE TARGET, were shot at 1.85:1. It's a pity DRIVE has never received its due in North America. As far as I know, the only Region 1 DVD (now OOP) was the 1.33:1 version that aired on HBO

"The high-pedigree cast includes Elijah Wood, Rainn Wilson, Alison Pill, Nasim Pedrad, and Jack McBrayer."

Nesmith is interesting to watch during the party scenes on THE MONKEES, because he's usually standing in the corner watching the craziness go down while Dolenz, Tork, and Jones run and jump around.

Hearing Milligan's name reminds me of Michael Weldon's great line. I'm paraphrasing, but it was, "If you're a Milligan fan, there's no hope for you."

Refn's DRIVE is not even the best film titled DRIVE ever made.

Boy, the author doesn't think people were very intelligent in the 1980s. I can assure you that '80s television viewers were very well aware — I would suspect even more so than 2015 TV viewers — of Harold Lloyd and I AM CURIOUS (YELLOW).

It would be Bruce Vilanch.

I love it when the new kids at The AV Club dig up this stuff the rest of us have known for years. They're so cute.

Sounds like there's also a bit of QUINCY, M.E. in HOUSE (which I've never seen).

I'm sure the extras will be culled from the Rhino DVD box sets with maybe one or two minor new extras.

"Fuck you, spaceman!" Great movie, indeed.

It's pretty ridiculous that medium talents (at best) like Zack Snyder are making big-budget action movies while Hyams and Isaac Florentine (to name a couple) are trapped in DTV limbo. No question that a Florentine Batman/Superman movie would be 50x better than Snyder's. None.

Jones also starred in a HERBIE THE LOVE BUG television series.

Oh, excellent. I hope the rest of the series makes it to DVD.

I just mentioned elsewhere how great Shore was on THE PRACTICE. A very complex, charismatic, dark, fascinating character that was sadly watered down and made cartoonish on BOSTON LEGAL. I'm a little surprised that season isn't available on DVD. I'm disappointed most of THE PRACTICE hasn't been released, but really
