Long ago I used to sell books on Amazon and Ollie’s was always a great source for obscure titles. Was a fun way to make a few extra bucks.

Bin store opens ... bin store closes ... another opens in same space ... closes ... repeat, repeat, repeat.

Target was the same way for a while. Now I think they limit how many returns you can even bring in a given year with receipts.

Nordstrom’s return policy is/was so liberal they used to take returns on items they don’t even sell. There’s a legendary story about snow tires they accepted ...

I’m down with that but this seems like a lot of effort to save 1/2 off electronics!

We’ve got Ollie’s near us. I don’t think they are a salvage operation. More like retail close-outs/overstocks that never have been in hands of a consumer for return. My guess is most of these retailers are of that class and not really salvage operations.

EEAAO does not look dour and is the only one that looks fun. I should not have been so hasty as TG:M is very, very fun and enjoyable.

All these Best Picture nominees look so dour. Are any of them actually entertaining and maybe even a little bit fun?
