I believe that in CDP's case it's more about delivering a quality product than making an easy buck. They have proven that with Witcher and recently with their Good Old Games (www.gog.com). Tried Resident Evil 5 and it sucks. As someone said before - for Gears of War style gunfights I would pick...Gears of War? Resident Evil rocked in it's second incarnation with third not being that bad as well.

Tried it for few minutes at Eurogamer Expo this year. Was blinded by pure awesomeness.

FYI, Shipping finished games doesn't happen very often. You ship when your build is 'good enough' to be put on the market, and 'good enough' depends on company/management/time of the year.
