My GTI had it on the dead pedal for a long time. Eventually it looked like hell so I peeled it. Still looked like hell underneath. :shrug.

I saw a guy getting out of one as I was leaving my favorite coffee shop yesterday. It had clearly summer tires :facepalm

I’ve had similar experience with my 85 Jaguar. I’ve had it over 2 years and done over 10k miles in it. I had to pay a bunch to get the transmission looked at and the worst of the rust fixed. And just A tiny bit of engine work. Read more

Reminds me last year when it wasn’t cold enough in Chicago so I went to Wausau Wisconsin DURING THE POLAR VORTEX.

Timely, I saw a really clean yellow SRT4 on the way to work this morning. First one I’ve seen in ages.

Perfect opportunity for a manual swap of course. If only that wasn’t a really major undertaking

OMG SO MUCH WANT. I did manage to get one of my boyhood dream cars with the 85 Jaguar I’ve had about two years now.  And I love it but probably not as much as Id love a manual e28. Doubt I’ll ever be able to afford a nice one.

XJS would be fun to own but would probably be really hard to sell. As for my neighbor’s e46 I just wish it would go away.

I’ve had some trouble like this in my Jaguar (1985). It’s better since all new belts but still shrieks a little turning out of my garage cold. I haven’t had a chance to get in there to see if it needs to be tightened again.

I’ve actually seen one like it around here. I have a picture somewhere. Was that a custom thing people did?

I sat in one at the auto show when they first came out. It was a nice place to be. Shame As with the TourX I think they completely forgot to market it. I’ve seen MAYBE 2 in the wild.

I heard an interview with a scientist once who for fun went out of his way to NEVER talk about what color the sky is with his daughter until she was about 4. When he finally did ask she either had no idea or said anything but blue.

My Jaguar probably hasn’t seen a grease gun since the 90s. I should probably do something about that.
