PS- Loved the very end of the episode where our gang is driving off in the stolen station wagon.  A little disappointed it wasn't actually the Bishopwagon.  But yeah, that's what I thought this season was going to be — Fringe, Road Warrior style.  (Not like a Season  2 episode of Star Trek TNG)  As I said… next week's

I'm also a little bothered by how undercooked the future scenario seems so far. We've spent hardly any time with these bad new Observers at all. (Well, Walter has) There isn't much feeling of danger when the Observers have Loyalists do all their dirty work. For a show that's been so good at worldbuilding, the scenario

Broyles will be back in episode 4.  Nina will be back two or three episodes later.

You're getting that feeling because the alternate universe originally was not supposed to have been revealed until closer to the end of a projected six-season run.  Remember, Fringe was supposed to be more strictly a case of the week procedural.  They threw that slow methodical approach out the window by the end of

I think the tapes thing ultimately does not matter: it's just an excuse to get the Fringe team doing something other than having tea in Etta's apartment (since there are no more Fringe cases to investigate).

Funniest thing in the episode was the return of the Clapper.

I think the color changes were achieved digitally.  I saw many photos of the park scene being filmed, and there never was a green blanket shown (just a red one).  Also, if you look closely, you'll see the grass is super-green in Olivia's dream, which makes me think that's an artifact of digital color manipulation of

I don't know why anyone would expect "closure" on Rachel and Ella.  They were never important characters in the plot.  They were just Olivia's relatives.  And I think they're living happily in Chicago now.

I think episode 1 had two directors because Szwarc had to fill in when there was the John Noble production delay.  I think the original director had scheduling problems and couldn't direct the whole thing.

Well, think about it:  Who do we know who would go to insane lengths to deal with grief over the death of a child?
