and I’ll speculate on this in a second—there has never been a great one.

Gotta love how Batgirl was canned to “protect the DC brand” when Ezra Miller has done more damage, especially to the Flash, than the Batgirl movie would ever do.
I was listening to a 3 hours loop of that Phoenix Wright song during the Depp vs Heard trial, when that one psychologist was on the stand and basically diagnosing Amber on the public stage. It was glorious.
The weirdest thing about how badly Square Enix continues to botch their retro re-releases is that while they’ve been putting out some of the worst examples of how to deal with old games they also have put out a bunch of other re-releases that range from “perfectly acceptable” to “top-tier example of how to modernize a…
I’m convinced Square Enix is incapable of making a Remaster that doesn’t jack up the pixel art in some horrendus “FF6 Phone Version” fashion, or FF8/9 where they make the models HD and keep the blurry, low res jpg backgrounds.
God dammit why does Square Enix do this EVERY SINGLE TIME. Who at that company thinks this looks better?
It seems like only yesterday the cult of Sony was slinging (pun intended) the ol’, “LoL Spider-Man is a PS exclusive.” Now it’s on PC. Oh and remember when the Avengers game was announced and that Spider-Man was only available on PS? Sure were a lot of Sony cult members jumping for joy.
That’s kind of my point. I am also still waiting on that FF7 Remake on Xbox that was promised when I have played a bunch of other Final Fantasy games on Xbox (I know it’s not going to be released but what is going on at Square is a different rant). Sony has gone big on exclusives and is now throwing a tantrum when one…
Sony didn’t create the Spiderman IP.
I haven’t played Call of Duty in about 15 years, so I’d say it’s non-essential.
I have both consoles and I kind of hope it does go exclusive, mostly for the drama.
It’s easy to argue against *because* they are being hypocritical. If a game is essential, no game should be an exclusive.
I actually really like the news section! It’s a nice way to find out about sales, and some developers actually deliver worthwhile updates/blog posts. And Nintendo usually has a few cute articles a month about upcoming games.
Knight Vision
Yeah, he might be DC’s fifth most popular hero after the Big Three and maybe the Flash? I couldn’t take anything else in this post serious after reading that (not that you should take anything on Kotaku anymore seriously).
Yeah, describing Nightwing as an “anti-hero” is pretty baffling to me.
“Batgirl employs some Witcher-style “investigating,” meaning that you press a button to automatically illuminate a path of footprints that show you exactly where you need to go.”
“featuring B-list DC antiheroes Nightwing and Red Hood.”
Excuse me, sir, Nightwing is not an antihero (and he’s an A-lister in my book, but YMMV)
