Not sure why this is Physics instead of Mathematics, but it's one of the more mind-wrenching ways of introducing people to advanced math, and I always enjoy studying it. Number theory FTW.

See also: the Jews in the book of Exodus complaining how they'd rather return to slavery in Egypt than starve in the desert. It's human nature to see the grass on the other side of the fence as greener.

This appears to be a new hobby. The Decepticons did about $8 billion of damage to Chicago last summer, possibly because they wanted to keep the citizens alive as slave labor afterwards:

Probability of one bullet hitting you = 5% = 1/20

I've always wondered: where does Trinity GO while Neo and the Agent are shooting at each other anyway? Does she jump really high, or run along the outside wall of the building to get behind the Agent, or what?

Finally, something to make all those porn sites tolerable again.

To hell with that. Call me when they've stopped designing airplane seats for people only 5'10" tall. I'm 6'6" and hate flying ever since they stopped letting me request the exit row.

Since these are refurbished, you're probably not getting the newer iPad 2,4 with the more efficient processor. Just sayin'.

Troll. So you've already digitized every CD and DVD you've ever owned and gotten rid of them? Backed up everything to the cloud? I for one still have a pretty big collection of CDs and DVDs I'm not getting rid of anytime soon.

Why don't they give those of us without cable subscriptions the option of buying into the Olympics online coverage? Say, $20 for the entire online access? I'd consider that quite reasonable.

The top two panels are slightly raised; the bottom two are not. And all of them are more than half the width of the box opening, which would never be the case in an actual box. So, yes, it's a bit off.

Starscream wants his design back.

I'll bet it's loads of fun to get this thing out of your pocket.

I think I first saw a variation on this trick in the movie "Single White Female."

The World-Wide Web has thoroughly blurred the line around what an "app" is. Most people know that a website will look the same on pretty much any smartphone, so why, they think, can't an app do the same? After all, it's just moving pixels around, right?

I know this is a personal issue, since I'm 6'6" tall, but as long as the seats aren't adjustable I can't see this thing being universally useful.

Sneakers. Robert Redford, Dan Ackroyd, et.al. Probably the most realistic bunch of hackers I've ever seen in a movie.

I hate headlines like this. Is it the Galaxy SIII? How would we know? Why are you asking us? You're the journalist.

Because Kingsford has had burnable charcoal BAGS for sale for years. This really isn't an improvement.

Simple and straightforward enough that I could now build one out of Legos in two minutes. (And IMO, this should be the standard of quality for all engineering education.)
