I love the original comic, but I wasn't crazy about either season 1 or 2. One of the few parts I really liked was the last ten minutes of episode 1, season 2.

I thought this was the best (and funniest) episode in a long time. I loved BMO and the whole Chips and Ice Cream thing was random in the good, mindblowing way.
No, but I'm kind of wondering if that's what the reviewer is doing.
This may have been the best episode to air this week, although "Everything's Jake" isn't far behind. Except for "Is That You?" which mostly felt like a needless detour to bring back a non-essential secondary character and cheapen the impact of his death, this week's episodes have been unusually good.
The grades the episodes get on this site seem completely random to me.
I haven't really enjoyed a single F+C episode, including this one. I thought this season started out really strong; I loved Wake Up, Escape from the Citadel, James II and The Tower. Breezy was also good. However, I found Sad Face and Food Chain completely uninteresting, and Furniture & Meat and The Prince Who Wanted…
People like for significant things to happen. If something seemingly important is quickly and easily reversed, that makes it harder for the audience to believe in the permanence/significance of any future events. Look at Marvel comics, where every character has been dead a few times and the death of a hero has been…
I didn't find him annoying in any of the episodes; I thought he was a charming character who I wanted to see return. His "James is like WHAAA" explanation from the first episode is funnier than anything Abbott and Costello ever did. I can't believe the review of the original James episode was so negative.
Both itsmejeff and Tree Trunks refer to Lemongrab as "Lemoncarb". My theory is that itsmejeff is actually Tree Trunks in disguise. Sounds crazy at first, but give it a second. Makes sense right???
I thought this was the second best episode of the season, after the lava one.
I thought it was one of the worst episodes ever, in that it was a pretty straight adventure/character-building episode, while never really containing much of either. I watch Adventure Time for the absurd humor and unpredictable narrative twists, and this episode basically didn't contain any. The most positive thing I…
It wasn't as good as "James", and it wasn't very Adventure Timey, but it was pretty decent for what it was, and I liked the guards accepting the bad PB imitation and the tension built up by Finn and Jake acting out of character. I still prefer James to RBG as a character, though. B-.
Seriously, who in their right mind would spend time with cars when you have penguins? It's a no-brainer.
PB could just have secretly implanted a distress signal receiver into Marceline's brain while she was sleeping. That way they could have resolved everything without ethical quandaries.
Also, "James is like WHAAAA!??" is good writing. You can't tell me that's not good writing.
To elaborate: Cars generally bore me — to me they're something uninteresting, smelly and a bit dangerous and expensive — so having most of the episode be the characters gushing over a broken car made me overload on cognitive dissonance; the effect would have been similar if they had spent the episode gushing over a…
Every time an AT episode sucks you seem to give it an A (e.g. I thought that "We fixed a truck" was the second-worst episode of AT ever, just after Dream of Love). But I really enjoyed this one — I liked James and the tense, dramatic atmosphere — so I suppose your low grade shouldn't surprise me. A strong B+ from me.
I've never needed a driver's license, and I'll ride in a car maybe once every other month, so learning how cars work hasn't been a priority for me. But I can see what you're saying; if you use a car every day then it's weird not to know the basic mechanics of it; it would be like using a computer or a web browser but…
The Limit.
I thought it was possibly the worst episode of AT I've ever seen. I was really bored by everything that had to do with the truck or Banana Man. The Lizard transformation was ok, though.
