Graves didn’t understand he was dealing with a murderous psychopath. Just thought he was a corrupt sheriff. He hasn’t seen what we’ve seen.

I saw it as someone so blinded by the power they think they have because of money, where he thought he could just walk in and dominate, as he was used to.

This is what I came to say. Fargo is all about the triumph of the virtuous, of decent people not afraid to stand up to pretty monstrous chaotic bad guys. I haven’t seen season 3, so maybe that went in a different direction, but Molly? Gus? Lou? Hank? Betsy? Freaking Frances McDormand and her super supportive husband?

I really love Fargo’s use of drumlines for moments like Danish’s slow walk.

This is one of the best episodes to date so the B rating seems terribly low.  Tense and suspenseful in the best Coen Brothers tradition, the series is also showcasing career-best performances from Temple and Hamm.  Emmys, please!

I thought that cover of Toxic was actually really well used.

Funny? Goofy?I didn’t take any of it that way—she has a family to protect and had to do it with the best of her ability since a gun was not an option. She knew what she was up against, but also tried to keep some semblance of order for her innocent husband and kid. The whole time, serious, focused effort, with fear in

Wow. I appreciate the review and the opportunity to collect my thoughts by bouncing them off yours. I find myself having rather a differet take. To start with, solid A. A+ even. A 7-episode build to earned rather than manufactured tension.

I quite liked this episode. I’m sure there’s a metapor in that debate somewhere, lol. Dave Foley’s slo mo walk away after the handiwork of his debacle, was chef’s kiss. Shame he bit the bullet. I never fully got a read on this guy, but he did seem to be smarter than to tell the man he knows is volatile “It was me!” A

I have loved this season so much. I am excited that I get to see it play out over the next two weeks and simultaneously wishing I could watch it for another two months.

Acceptably slow, but too nice to be creepy.

I think she herself was worried about that too for a moment, given the look on her face. I'm sure guys like Roy have perfected making their victims question their own realities. It's just another form of abuse.

Maybe in the finale when Dot and Lorraine (with Indira’s help) get revenge on Roy.

Maybe once upon a time Roy could have gotten that to disappear with a folksy “boys will be boys”, but after he just hit a woman in front of the cameras there’s likely to be a lot more scrutiny.

still waiting on a slow creepy version of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”

It was unclear, but then Lorraine said, “Come on, you start right now” as they went off to (probably) the ranch.

My first thought was ‘hope Witt’s got his dashcam on.’ Not sure how Gator could play off putting a bullet through a State Trooper’s windshield, regardless of the propriety of Witt being there in the first place.

Gator shot through Witt’s windshield.

In a world where The Last of Us exists The Crown cannot lock up anything. Just on the strength of episode 3, TLoU should win every best drama award.
