This stuck out for me, too. Not to ignore the rest of the awful situation (which other commenters have commented on far more eloquently than I could), but why the fuck is there a tank and armored vehicle in an “unincorporated community”, and why are they being used to track down ONE guy?

It is exactly the same at OSU.  They had to paint <look both ways> on the street at crosswalks to get them to look up from their phones before the cross the street on Campus.

This. I just started a new teaching job at a school with near continuous bus traffic on campus. The nonchalant manner of students as they stroll in front of the busses is stressing me out.
