Strongly agree with this. Especially Luca and Soul. (Turning Red was less entertaining on a second viewing). It sucks that the pandemic affected them the way they did.

Gay cult classic! One of my all-time favorites, it’s at the top of the list if I ever need to throw something on to make me feel better (or take a cozy nap). “Right on top of that Rose” can be heard in my home at least once a week, the perfect domestic response.
Can we all agree this is not “live-action” and just a different (and imo worse) approach to animation? The still at the top of the article is ~95% CGI. It’s so silly to pretend this is live-action, the very conversation feels like theater.
Gutted. I credit Paul’s whimsy, subversiveness, irreverence, and celebration of kindness for making me the (queer) person I am today. I used to watch Big Adventure multiple times a day as a child, and my whole family would quote full scenes at one another. And Pee Wee’s Playhouse Christmas Special is still the best…
I remember this launching during the pandemic and it was a great comfort watch. (The episode with Tom Green was genuinely moving). I also think it’s easy to dunk on her because it’s easy to dunk on sincere people and goofy people and she’s both. Love her <3
imho people aren’t not going to movie theaters because everything is streaming...people aren’t going to movie theaters because a) people act wild in movie theaters, and b) smaller movies don’t make it to theaters. I don’t need to see you scrolling on IG and I don’t need to see another god awful Marvel movie.
One rim job scene is, frankly, not enough at all - especially considering how much it factors in my life (tmi?)
I would love it if humans stopped enjoying brutality so much.
Mama, they’re all in last place
I’m reading all of the titles on Marvel Unlimited, so I’m 3 months behind, but I am not liking the overall direction. The books really want the reader to believe that the idea of a separate mutant nation is a great thing, but it all reads like nationalism of the worst sort, with a “wall” that keeps out non-mutants.…
It’s wild to me how negatively people reacted - and continue to react - to Thundercats Roar! (Especially, I’m assuming, people who haven’t actually watched it) As someone who was obsessed with the original cartoon, Thundercats Roar! is really funny and doing something different, plus sending up the original show in a…
Fuecoco is a pepper!
I understand. Personally, I am outraged by both things, which I think you get. I try to give others the benefit of the doubt though. In this instance, my outrage is focused on Joe Rogan, not because he’s one person & easy to vilify, but because his reach is so wide. I feel the same way about mainstream news channels,…
Many...but not sure how that negates what I said? We can hold multiple people accountable for multiple different things at multiple points in time. I protested those wars, for example.
And if a few thousand people die from COVID misinformation in the process, who cares, right?
This! It’s like saying you hate politicians and will stop voting because it doesn’t matter.
I know it’s cliche to disagree with a ranked list but...Half-Blood Prince is definitely the worst movie. It completely misses the tone of the source material and its tone is completely inconsistent with the other movies. Silly but not in a good way.
Great list overall. I am one of those Weezer fans who still gets excited for a new album release, but ends up disappointed almost every time. Besides the first two albums, I like Make Believe and (don’t kill me) Hurley the best. The latter was by no means “great music” but it was the least self-conscious new album…
Agreed! Rowell’s Runaways was great. Excited most for She-Hulk out of this whole announcement — those complaining about big events should check it out. Also love Zdarksy’s Daredevil.
Seriously, he’ll keep writing the series until he’s asked to work on a related TV project then bounce again. It’s the basest example of creating “IP” for TV/film projects out there...which is extra frustrating because he’s a great comic book writer and only a mediocre showrunner!
