"How did my father die?"
"49 times we fought that beast…"

That article quotes Prowse as saying it was a reveal for "Star Wars III," or the second sequel, what eventually became Episode VI: The Empire Strikes back. I think it was a lucky guess on his part instead of insider info,

There was also a difference in rewards. For VM, a $35 pledge got you a download of the movie, while with MST $35 only got you ONE episode; you had to pledge at least $85 to get a download of the full season.

I don't think it's a mistake that the add-on store is still open. The "closed" Kickstarter page now has a link to it on the right, right under the thanks for the Kickstarter.

King of Comedy was definitely a step towards being more serious, there's actual emotional heft behind some of the scenes. The film didn't perform that well though, so Chow shifted to making crowd pleasing action-packed blockbusters.

His earlier films are even crazier. There's Out of the Dark, where he plays a "hitman" of ghosts and is dressed as Leon from the Professional the entire movie,..

The problem is that "Good Morning to All" was written first, and both lyrics and melody have a clear copyright begin time, the time of first (authorized) publication. However, at some later time, the "Happy Birthday" lyrics were applied over the "Good Morning to All" melody, but there's not solid evidence for when

The idea is that the appeal of action scenes is near universal, and less dialogue means less subtitles/dubbing for foreign audiences to slog through. Comedies have notoriously done poorly outside their domestic market, because they tend to have a lot of dialogue and the jokes are often language or region specific,

"Most likely the final season" isn't the same as "final season". NBC didn't officially cancel the show until halfway through the airing of season 3, well after production.

Technically, NBC didn't give Hannibal a heads up, the producers just saw the writing on the wall. Bryan Fuller is a bit of an expert on knowing when his show is going to be cancelled. Hell, he knew Wonderfalls was going to be cancelled before it even aired.

My wife commented after that scene that nowadays, the control group would get the current "gold standard" medication instead of a placebo. The trial still works, but instead they see whether the new medication works better/has fewer side effects than the "gold standard". If it doesn't, it's not worth selling, even if

I had to look up what an old fashioned doughnut was.

CGA's composite mode also worked a similar way to produce 16 colors. A team of demomakers recently hacked at CGA to get 1024 colors on a composite screen:

Do you mean changing it within the same film, or different films using different aspect ratios? Either way, this response to me seems similar to saying "I think fucking with color is hacky. Put everything in B&W."

He probably posted it first, then people started noting the errors. You can add/edit annotations after a video is posted, but you can't edit the video/audio itself.

The "older time" thing could be true, although it may only work on someone familiar with films and aspect ratios, I'm not sure the aspect ratio shifts in, say, Grand Budapest Hotel, have the same effect on a layman. At the least, shifting the aspect ratio helps distinguish the different time periods in the movie.

I got 60 seconds in and already there was a glaring error big enough I had to post about it. 16:9 didn't arrive in the 1960s. Originally there was 1.85:1 and 1.66:1 widescreen ratios. 16:9 aka 1.78:1 did come about until HDTV was developed as a standard; in other words, it had nothing to do with film at all. 1.85:1

To be fair the original Casino Royale film, starring David Niven as a retired James Bond, actually made explicit that the name got passed on to new agents, along with the numbered designation. Still, that film was made outside of the main film franchise and thus not considered "canon".
