I do have to say, I don’t think I’ve seen this much sparking during crashes. Me thinks they may be using drag blocks for more spectacular, spark-filled crashes. This needs further investigation.

Windows down should keep the stoichiometric ratio lean enough to prevent ignition.

My borther-in-law has had a qv for the same amount of time. 14k miles, trouble free. And he drives it in race mode all the time.

Judging by the drill bit tracking marks, the hole was started without a center-punch, and by the rubber scuffing on the adjacent metal lip, probably from the rubber coated drill chuck, it can be easily imagined that this was done in extreme haste in order to avoid detection.

Getting cut off sucks.
