While the BAC Mono and Ferrari F12 segments were good, I couldn't help but feel frustrated with May and Hammond's segments.

I found the 'Ferrari idiot' part ironic. Clarkson acknowledges the crowded city streets and then keenly shows off some stretch of nice driving road, but he'll turn around and say that America has no corners.

Fortunately, my dad saved me from car beigery. He used to drive a 92' E32 735iL (bought new, kept for 17 years!). He replaced it with an 04' Audi A4 3.0 V6. I learned to drive stick in the Audi, and quickly learned about the joys of low-end torque, AWD drifts and double de-clutching.

The core of the issue isn't the economy, or the cost of student loans, or lack of motivation, etc. It's much simpler than that.

Does it have a conventional manual gearbox? Just jump start it!

Makes sense to me.. A balanced rwd car with proper tires is a blast in the snow. I used 3 e46 M3's, an e36 M3 and my beloved e30 M3 all through NY winters. The Paceman isn't that bad looking. Certainly better than a Juke or other small crossovers. Just overlook the MINI name and forget the original. If the original MINI Cooper never existed and somebody came up with this car from scratch, people would like it. I actually kinda do.

Personally, I'm psyched that we are getting a truly small sedan on our shores. The current 3-series is the same size as the original 5-series.
