Heed Fury’s call!

“I’ve had it with these motherf-ing Skrulls on this motherf-ng planet!”

I’m expecting the movie to shape him by having a skrull disguised as an agent take his eye out, prompting his great line in Winter Soldier where he says, “Last time I trusted someone, I lost an eye.”

Since ancient times, there has always been a son of Coul who would stand against the forces of darkness...

I like the idea that Coulson never ages, due to some distant Asgardian ancestor. Ancient Asgardian ancestry could actually explain the entire existence of the MCU, because the genetics of the heroes (and villains) make them compatible with the power catalysts (for example, why gamma radiation turns Banner into the

The show is still a month away.  They’ll ramp up the promotion with more substantive trailers, etc.  Just like they always do.  This year really isn’t different; it’s just getting more attention because of a new showrunner and because of Jodie.

It’s ONE TEASER.  Get a grip.

Don’t worry; one wave of her sonic screwdriver, and it’ll be good as new :-)

Viacom is not going to let go of Paramount anytime soon, especially now that they are trying to get CBS back(Who owns the other half of the Star Trek rights).

In fairness, the film IS called Predator

I don’t know if was any different but I did get the 50th Anniversary blu-ray collection for my birthday. It came with TOS, Animated series, and Star Trek 1-6. The set also had a badge and posters for all of the movies. The outer box was pretty nice too, it has silhouettes of the crew and the slip cover makes it look

Yeah. I’m extremely critical of everything post-DS9 (except the first film of the 2009 reboot wasn’t bad IMO and I haven’t seen Discovery because fuck you, CBS, just go in on Hulu already!), but I’m not going to call any of it “not Star Trek.” The first two seasons of TNG were worse than most of that and they get a

MMaybeyou haven't heard of the new Picard series that is in development? Request fulfilled!

I remember the 25th anniversary had a fantastic TV special hosted by Shatner & Nimoy (my introduction to all things Trek) along with magazines, a PC game and marathons on local channels. Also “Undiscovered Country” and Spock showing up on TNG.

Fans will still call it ‘Not Real Star Trek’ as they seem to do with anything that isn’t a repeat of TNG or DS9.

Uhura as a Disney Princess?

how much of this is due to the conflicting regarding the film/tv rights for trek? I feel like if it was all under one set of hands (not that I’m advocating increased corporate consolidation) something magical could’ve happened

Nope. Employers have a right not to hire people based on criminal backgrounds. Does a bank robber deserve a job as a Brinks guard? Does a child rapist who served time deserve to become a pediatrician? He can use the minor fame to ingratiate himself to young girls. Hollywood certainly has at least somewhat of a
