Therein lies her dilemma: Her girl-from-around-the-way attitude is the reason she has been given the spotlight. Now that all of the lights are trained on her, should she be forced to suppress the very thing that elevated her to this position?

OK you convinced me, I’m all in on this.
It’s a shame, too. Because it wasn’t a bad movie.
Aside from the obnoxious Krispy Kreme references, I loved it. You can tell the guy who made it cared about the world and the characters, because it spends time making you care who they are.
The movie made about $140M worldwide on a production budget of $100M. I wouldn’t count on a whole mess of sequels.
Still preferable to two hours with this guy.
Shit... I want that to be a thing now.
Would see. Maybe twice.
I love House and I wouldn’t mind reboot with Urban.
Wouldn’t that just be a 2 hour episode of House starring Karl Urban though? OK I just talked myself into it.
Sounds better than the Fast and furious Trek ,How about adapting ...
Why not?? Karl Urban makes everything sounds good.
2 Hours of listening to a guy complaining about everything and exclaiming ‘I’M JUST A SIMPLE COUNTRY DOCTOR!’ every 15 minutes?
“Boldly go where no woman has gone before”

Hopefully there will be no further spin off products like Theon Sausage or Fry Meat Pies made from real Frys.
Thanks for the nuanced approach to the topic. “This show is ill-advised and has little to say socially” seems like a pretty valid position. Present-day accounts of black people dealing with real poverty and racism, like The Wire and Atlanta, are much more interesting to me than what’s basically a slave narrative…
I’m so over shows like this. Imagine if someone wrote a show where minorities banded together to get rid of or enslave white people. We wouldn’t hear the end of it.
