I usually don't care about the letter grading here, but last night's episode was one of the most riveting hours of TV I have ever seen and to give it an a-minus seems a bit unfair to me.

And there you have it. It's really just a matter of perspective. Im sure Nietzsche, Camus, and Kafka seemed ponderous and over the top to their more comfortable and stable friends, too.

Agreed. But at the same time the fact that dawesterity finds it "ridiculous" is a matter of perspective, and based mostly about how your life is going. If you're doing ok, making decent money, perhaps have a stable relationship it might seem a bit over the top and ridiculous. But on the other hand if you'd been

Good point.

Yeah, I dont remember any stoned college freshman getting that deep, and dark no matter how much Nietzsche, Sartre, Camus, or Schoepenhaur(?)they read.

No, just you. His closing monologue was haunting, and brutal, and if you want to write that off as sophomoric I think you're being a little bit too much of a dick, or perhaps defending yourself from such a painful shot at human reality. The last time I heard dialogue that relentlessly bleak, sharp, and original was

Ha! I knew what they were really saying, but I didn't connect that line with Kingpin and Woody Harrelson.

A-? You nitpicky f*cks! That was an A+ for the dialogue alone, especially in the last 3-5 minutes.

Yeah. I've read ibogaine is a quick way to give up smack too. There's an interesting episode of Vice where a desperate addict, after many failed attempts at sobriety, gives Ibogaine a try and it actually cures him.

Enough about the fucking farm!

AV Club: where criticism is indistinguishable from a sullen teenager constantly complaining.

Yeah, she's got a good body too.

Holy Grail is one of the most annoying tracks in recent memory. I like some of the other stuff on the album though, like "Tom Ford". Nothing on it though comes close to Yeezus.

Morgan Saylor just turned 19 and she's not a bad actress. She's playing a moody teenager. Does she do that as well as Claire Danes once did? NO. But I wouldnt call her the "worst actress ever".

I get that, I really do, but every show can't be The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, or Mad Men. It doesn't even have to be Boardwalk Empire. Just let Homeland be.

I think she's cute. It's the hair.

Apparently so.

So, she was like 14 or 15 during My So Called Life? Really? I thought she was at least 18 which would make her at least 37 now.

Because before the nitpicks courtesy of the AV club I never noticed the flaws in Homeland and I enjoyed it more.

Thanks!
