These were remarkably creative, and very well written, bits of animation. (The one with Donald and his lavish RV as opposed to Mickey’s roughing tent was particularly piquant “Roughing It”) Note above image: the ‘original’ Mickey had no need of oddball white three-line gloves.

This. It was a great cast, but a lousy execution. Honestly, to waste the talents of Mae Freakin’ Whitman, is an achievement.

It’s too bad the writing wasn’t up to it, since the cast is so good.

I can’t help feeling like there were a couple storylines rattling around the writer’s table that they couldn’t really figure out how to stretch to full episode, so here we are.

Yeah, I’m not down with fart humor. That last time it was funny was in 1974 and Blazing Saddles.

Not quite sure what’s sadder: the angry nerds who review bomb the movie without seeing it, or the angry nerds like Ben Shapiro and Critical Drinker who sit through the entire movie and spend a day putting together a 40-minute video about why they didn’t like a movie that wasn’t marketed to them.

Must be awfully difficult for them to see the movie screen through those white hoods.

I’m part of this trend. Since everyone has delivery fees now I order in the app and then go pick it up. saves delivery fee and tipping. And hell if I’ll ever use something like grubhub or Uber Eats beyond when people give me gift cards - the delivery charges are insane.

There are a couple of local places that only do orders via 3rd-party, but I always go pick up anyway because delivery sucks.

Especially since obviously there was going to be a drop post-pandemic - during that time delivery was way up. Shortsighted capitalist corporate crap as usual.

My thoughts exactly why on earth would you use a 3rd party app to order versus either calling or using the first party app.

No, it’s way better than Pizza Hut or Papa John’s. LC’s is too, it’s not the best but it’s not covered in grease like Pizza Hut, Papa John’s has been trash ever since at least the late ‘90s when I first tried it.

Dominoes pizza really isn’t horrible for chain pizza, definitely better than Pizza Hut or Papa John’s. Chicken and bacon with the garlic parm sauce on thin crust is friggen awesome and the desserts they have are decent too.

1) People are mocking conservatives for getting outraged by saying ‘it’s just a kids’ film.’ But that’s literally the point. They’re outraged because they see it as both a symbol and amplifier of a worldview that they hate, and one that is (arguably) directed towards impressionable children. It’s weird that people…

Aw, how horrible. She was an interesting, deeply troubled artist with an amazing voice, some great collaborations, and lots of burnt bridges. Infuriating, up and down, energetic, all over the place... now the parasites and documentarians waddle in and package that messy life with a nice, neat narrative.

They can't lose. If the target concedes to them, they get a win, and if they don't concede, they get to add it to their pile of evidence for their victimhood. 

Even if we take it solely as a satire challenging modern gender norms, it doesn’t exactly justify the conservative outrage or validate the nature of the criticism.

There can be perfectly valid reasons to be critical of the Barbie movie but the reactionary pearl-clutching over the focus of its satire is bad faith…

The film has an ‘A’ Cinemascore, which at least on one level is an indicator that people are walking away from this movie having enjoyed it, and not being completely turned off by its themes and message... Mother! this movie is not.
