Post shoulda known, shoulda known, shoulda known again.

To toss another bucket of fuel onto this fire - OK GO! had an earlier contractual collaboration with Post, so Post has no ability to deny that they knew about dealing with OK GO! or somehow they misunderstood the situation.

This. I get that it must drive the company mad knowing that thousands of people are using it for free, but if their plan is to convert a lot of those to subscribers then I think they’ll be sorely mistaken.

2017, they said this:

Oh Cousin Merle, really!

The Comcast tier is “Premium”, which has everything but with ads.

College students are gonna pirate sooooo much shit.

Free Peacock sure helped me get through 2020 by marathoning Saved by the Bell

Lots of companies starting to realize they can’t make a profit without selling their productions to someone else or cable companies giving them more money for those extra channels no one watched.

It seems like their main claim to fame right now is that they managed to finagle Yellowstone away from Paramount+, which means anyone watching the far superior spinoff shows over there will have to sign up if they’re curious about what the Dutton family gets up to in the present day. The Paramount execs are reportedly

PlutoTV has the annoying habit of staying on 2 seasons (available) for too long.

For classic TV, the best bets are Tubi and PlutoTV, hands down.

This is one of the few decisions that could ultimately crater their company.

I can’t buy a Tesla Model S from Ford and they are clearly competitors. every streaming service is fighting over content demographics and Netflix shares a lot of demographics with the other providers.

Man, I’m hoping it leads to mass cancellations. Netflix isn’t worth it anymore, honestly, none of the streaming services are worth it to me for a full year. Most of them I’m done after a month or two and ready to find other content. Plus Netflix is the absolute worst about cancelling shows, why commit to watching

The dumbest part of this is doing this “crackdown” and not also offering a multi-family option. When Spotify rolled out this option a couple years ago I happily plunked down more money to let my brother get Spotify (he’s on disability). I get wanting people to pay for the service, but like other people said here,

I’m wondering how Netflix plans to handle the case of “households” not being defined by a physical location. After all, they don’t have Household Plans... they have Family Plans. A family is not a household. I have a daughter in her first year of college. She’s doing school full time and not working. She’s on my

I’m paying for my son’s college tuition, room & board, car & car insurance and health insurance. Why should I need to pay for TWO accounts while he is away at college? He’s part of my family.

That would depend on where you live.

When every studio and publisher has created their own platform and we’re expected to buy a subscription to all of them? Yes.
