The trend of illustrated or animated characters rendered in realistic CGI has got to stop. At least the newTom & Jerry thing kept them looking like cartoons.

I’ll give it a shot, I guess.

I remember when animated movies for kids had original songs.

I’m probably never going to see any more of these Disney remakes, so let them do as they want.

I feel like the Internet likes doing this because it’s a battle they have a chance at “winning”. Trump and Co. haven’t faced major consequences for anything truly terrible they’ve done despite all the Twitter brew-ha-ha. So they’re gonna focus on things like this because previous celebs (Kevin Spacey, et. all) have

That was my issue with the Bert/Ernie thing a few years ago. It’s one thing to make that your interpretation of the characters (which is fine), it’s another to make a petition for Sesame to officially make them gay.

I was going to comment the same thing. The Drew Carey Show doesn’t fit in with any of those other examples at all.

But what does this mean for The Crew and Country Comfort?!

*laughs in owning complete series box-set*

And now that theaters are open, I can see it at my local theater’s discount day for $6.40. I don’t know how long Disney will keep this up unless they just chose to skip theaters in general.

Well, I did not like the 2017 remake at all. But that High School Musical show was surprisingly not terrible, so it’s probably up in the air how good this could be.

Oh, you know what, I think I’m washing my hair that day...

Yeah, I knew they were under the same umbrella. I just didn’t expect a Peacock show to hit normal TV so quickly (well, other than Amber Ruffin’s show).

I thought the same thing about Dean. His character isn’t as stupid as Dennis, but still sleazy.

I think the theme of the song is just universal enough (precocious only child) to transcend the NYC-based title. There’s really nothing in the song IIRC that’s really specifically about the city; I think it would work just as well if you called it “Seattle Lonely Boy” or “West Orange, NJ Lonely Boy.”

Swimming off the edge of an infinity pool is a great joke nonetheless.

Tina herself admits the 30 Rock pilot is terrible, so it might just be a first-episode thing. I’d say give it a couple more.

That’s good to hear! I enjoyed season 1 enough to want some more. “New York Lonely Boy” and “The Splingee” have been stuck in my head for weeks.

Me too. Maybe because there’s the HBO Max option. It’s also 2 and a half hours, which I can see being a bit of a turn off for some.

Well, in between those you had Glee and Crazy-Ex Girlfriend.
