I was looking forward to theaters reopening and giving my local places my money, but there’s not a whole lot I actually want to see until July.

It’s on CW Seed!

I loved Robin and can’t wait for more of her in season 4, but I don’t know if I’m interested in more of her in this format.

It’s certainly not uncommon in musicals for the lead to stand around and watch while the ensemble does the singing-dancing work. But I agree, it was always so awkward having Zoey just stand and watch while stuff happened around her.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure how applicable that nickname was because outside of the song choices, there’s no lack of effort around everything else.

There was a previous article about the show on here and in the comments, someone called it “Lazy Ex-Girlfriend” because of its reliance on already-existing music.

I am seven episodes behind on this and I am determined to finish it, but every episode is like a chore and I can’t bring myself to watch another. I like Jane Leevy; I like musicals, but I have such little investment in every character and the song choices are so on-the-nose (“The Great Pretender”) or ill-fitting

Do any actual Spanish-speaking people use LatinX?

Now playing

On a similar note, I wanna share this great song written by Amanda Green about Fran’s life.

Yeeks, the uncanny valley of that video thumbnail. Daffy, Foghorn, Wile E. and maybe Porky look okay. But the others, ESPECIALLY Lola, look lousy.

That article seemed to ignore every time this kind of thing happened when Jim was alive. Like, how is this different than Kermit taking over for Johnny Carson or Big Bird appearing on Hollywood Squares?

Host of Lip-Sync Battle, and presumably other stuff.

Yeah. Lin was great onstage, but there’s something about Ramos that made him feel/look the part of Usnavi better.

It’s definitely an issue with this era of Peak TV, there’s so much stuff. Like, does anyone even remember that just a couple of years ago one of the big cable companies revived Mad About You?

*Benny, not Usnavi.

What in the heck is Acorn TV?

It also shows him writing the “Cruella DeVille” song right then and there, whereas in the animated film, he doesn’t write it until he and Anita are married. Continuity isn’t a factor for this film.

Yes, and? That’s just lousy fan service then.

SPOILER:

His mom is part of it, so her?
