A fine episode, though not sure it was a good choice for the season premiere. I was hoping for something that would leave a breadcrumb to the whole Della Duck arc.

Dr. Akopian is going to have some sort of nervous breakdown or be sent off to the nut house by Rebecca’s actions by the end of the series; I see no other conclusion to that character.
That’s-a good-a analysis!
I really like those bits with Guest and Crystal as the two deliveryguys who describe the dumb ways they injure themselves for no real reason.
I think he’s often said he wanted to keep working to Season 50 (which just started production this week).
Oscar is my favorite Muppet character of all time. Caroll’s retirement is well-earned and Oscar has been perfectly recast, IMO.
Is it me or has it extremely obvious in the last few years that they’re reading from cue cards? I get why, but if you look at something like that old Jan Hooks / Alec Baldwin diner sketch, they’re able to get the camera and staging all over the set and nobody seems to be facing a certain way so they can keep reading.
There was a UK show called “The Sketch Show” that was sort-like Laugh-In that Kelsey Grammar brought to FOX and was a shot-for-shot remake of everything from that show, with a few minor dialogue changes. The jokes on the original were dumb, dad-joke kinda things, but they were done so well that the American version…
I guess it has more to do with that Jimmy is a more public figure than Lorne.
At one of the more recent Comic Con things before the season started, Publick/Hammer acknowledged the gaps are so long because it’s really just the two of them doing all the writing and directing, so it all takes awhile to ensure it’s quality. It sucks, but that’s the way it is.
Last season was forgettable? It was probably my favorite one so far. It had a nice strong season-long arc and the stuff involved in it was thrilling. Plus, Red Death!
She honestly was never my favorite character and they did a lot of great stuff without her while she was on maternity leave, so I won’t be too disappointed.
“Are these your rocks?”
My favorite moment from this one was Dee’s attempt to shoot down Dennis, with his perfect response: “Nice try you dumb bitch.”
This is one of my favorite shows, but I don’t think I ever narrowed down a favorite episode. There’s a bunch I can think of off-hand that are really good (like the parking garage one). “Three Valentines” is a great choice, especially for David Hyde Pierce’s fantastic segment.
I wasn’t crazy about this one, especially since the last few have had so much action.
That’s very similar to what Broadway was doing several decades ago. Box office handlers were essentially getting bribed by scalpers for tickets, who would then sell them at higher the face value. And the kicker was that none of it was traceable.
The first thing I ever watched of Moore’s was Farenheight 9/11 in my senior year high school. Throwing in the random Bonzanza spoof and the use of the Greatest American Hero theme did not sell me on him or his style.
I don’t think the Guild sent these lower-tier villains to their doom; it seemed like a complete double cross by Copycat.
I really liked this one, better than last week’s. Stuff was happening and even if it may not have made much narrative sense, it was still pretty exciting. I’ll admit, the orgy stuff is really the parts I wasn’t so keen on; everything else was A-OK with me.
