Makes no sense to me. I agree that most convicts should get out of prison earlier than they do, and that we have an overly punitive justice system. But letting out a murdering cultist? That just makes no sense to me. These are the people we should have prisons for.

I’m sure that would be a great comfort to the families of her victims.

I’ve been posting this up and down the thread, but it needs to be said yet again.

“she was a kid being manipulated.”

I made the mistake of reading Helter Skelter in my early teens and I was traumatized. It does sound strange, as all murders are violent, but I do believe that the level of violence should be a factor...and what Leslie and the others did was on the extreme end.

You can google the images and see exactly what sweet, little Leslie and her buddies did to Rosemary and Leno LaBianca.

While I do understand people considering her age (19 is young by most people’s standards), I also have little sympathy for this woman. The physical effort it takes to stab someone in the manner she did is enormous (especially for someone her size)....and she stabbed someone 14 times. This wasn’t a crime of passion or

Only white people are allowed to be children at 19 even if they have committed vile, violent, hideous crimes. The rest of us are lucky to still be considered kids at 11.

Fuck her. She was old enough to know that participating in a double murder would have some serious consequences.

I don’t really know what’s waaay worse then a home invasion and triple homicide. I also don’t know who’s been paroled after something way worse.

I don’t care if she’s dangerous or not (I mean, I do, but.) She got a life sentence for a horrifying crime and that’s what she should serve.

Right. What makes people think that she would be less dangerous? Because she’s white, female and old with a conservative bob?

You want to give some examples of people who committed the kinds of multiple murders the Manson Family did and served far shorter sentences?

The last time I was at a Gap, I felt like I was trapped in the most boring dream of a white bread and miracle whip sandwich. I can’t remember the last time I was in a Banana Republic... I couldn’t even tell you where one exists without having to check their website.

Everytime I got into Gap Kids I’m like, why can’t they make this stuff for adults?!

Yeah, we’ve found BabyGap/GapKids to be a great source of little clothes. On the way to the elevator, I take a look at the overpriced jeans and shirts for adults and wonder, Who buys this stuff?

Yeah, why are Gap kids clothes so much better than their adult clothes? When there is a good sale, I can get some nice stuff for my two littles VERY cheap!I find their toddler jeans to be quite durable. Also, Gap’s maternity clothes are cheap (on sale) and not bad looking.

I’ve just not been able to determine, at any point in the last 10 years, who Gap thought they were making clothes for. I still enjoy their Gap Body stuff, and when their athletic stuff is on sale I’ll take a peek, but their regular clothes are just so fucking bizarre. It’s like hey, what if we took regular t-shirts

The diversity hire.

It, uh, looks like Powerpuff Nicki Minaj.
