I’d put the blame of Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s performance squarely on the shoulders of Edwards. The film even managed to make Bryan Cranston seem wooden. The performances were so bland across the board that I almost thought Hal Hartley directed it.

I agree but with a caveat. The show builds wonderfully complex storylines that always end up leading to a complete letdown upon completion. I couldn’t believe that they ended the show like they did but it wasn’t surprising in retrospect. It’s what they’ve been doing in previous seasons. Still I’m sad to see it end.…
