One thing i have always wondered - is he cutting through the ghosts/spirits or is he just swinging his sword around enough that the wind kinda disperses their presence?

What would that entail? You were giving a walk-through of your house when you decided to kill the potential buyers, then you have to hide the bodies before the next showing? You can hide them in the walls or dig a hole in the basement and bury them there?
