Increased wheel sizes are the solution to the “riding on milktops” look that higher belt-lines otherwise creates. A good example is the E65 7-series. With the stock 18” wheels it looked like it was on bottle caps. It needed the 19s to not look goofy.

I think most people have no idea that you can buy any car in orange. Orange McLaren is pretty much pure fantasyland to them, so the average viewer would probably believe it.
