Oh, Albie!

Their Iris directed at the WB execs, I assume.

I completely agree. The show drags every time it tries to be "dark". Heck, I can't stand to watch Gloomy Cisco. When it's not taking itself so seriously, it's a blast.

Miller has bigger things to worry about, like why they gave him a Flash costume that makes him look like an insectoid robot.

If DC/WB does at some point intend to "multiverse it up" between their TV and film universes, Flash would be the place to do it, not least because of the popularity and quality of the show; the Speed Force and time travel shenanigannery provide as good a narrative hook to hang it on as any. Doesn't have to be the

I am honestly surprised Marvel hasn't had Ben secretly resurrected and transformed into a new Green Goblin yet.

Lithgow is always a happy surprise when he pops up in something, and his involvement in something will always get my attention. And it's great to hear that forty years on, he still seems to genuinely enjoy his work. Props for not disowning or distancing himself from his genre work, too!

Hear, hear. Well said.

For a minute there I read that as "Dr. Phil", and envisioned CineCraft subjecting his enemies to a neverending series of "therapy" sessions that involve being shouted at and shamed in front of a live studio audience, followed by a Clockwork Orange-style marathon viewing of "Bull".

Sold. Absolutely sold. Finally, a DC movie trailer that doesn't make me feel like there's a 70 percent chance I'll regret my ticket purchase!

Sounds good to me.

Wally grates.

I think this "he doesn't show the shark" stuff overshadows the fact that what he DOES show are characters, telling a story and inhabiting lives instead of just rushing from monster shot to monster shot, which is what makes the movie the all-time classic that it is; the revolutionary technique is that he made a monster

Does it fix the fundamental problem I had with Civ V (and with most 4x games), which is that the research all inevitably leads to the same place? Sure, you pick what order you research stuff in, but you end up researching it ALL - there’s no tradeoffs or interesting decisions to make, in my experience.

Another home run, Will. Nolte comes off as way more personable and thoughtful than I would have expected, although it made me miss Luck all over again.

Somewhere in an alternate universe, there's an "Old Man Sabretooth" film where Nolte is KILLING it.

That's a fantastic story. Brett, Burke, and Hardwicke have a special place in my childhood as their series introduced me to Holmes, so I appreciate you sharing this.

Agreed. The "Sherlock has human emotions" thing is something that should be hinted at or briefly displayed here and there, not constantly made the emotional arc of every episode (the Irene Adler ep notwithstanding). Jeremy Brett's run did this better than anyone, with his nanosecond-flash of a smile here and there,

Of all the absurdity of this election season, nothing has shaken me to my core harder than the fact that I've found myself on occasion nodding in agreement with something Beck has said regarding civility and how to treat each other. It's like I'm living in a parallel universe.
