I have tried so many times to negotiate a lower price with FIOS, but I’ve never succeeded. I think, ultimately, I’m just not very good at haggling.. and my requests to lower prices, or keep them in the same range, are turned down immediately. I’ve never gotten the impression that they especially care about retaining

I’ve tried to ask this on Lifehacker before, but for some reason most of my comments are never approved.. Anyway, I thought I would ask here because of this: “Freezing your credit...doesn’t effect your credit score or your existing accounts, just your ability to open new ones.”

My credit score went down abruptly last

My credit went down abruptly last October after the Experian situation, and it has never recovered. But, I don’t really know what happened or how to fix it. My credit had been in good standing for years, supposedly at 722, according to Credit Karma. Then, in October, I dipped 48 points, and now it’s only fair at 674.

I had the corn casserole this weekend, and mine tasted like sweet corn! And it was delicious and had a great creamy texture. Clams, huh.

Thanks everyone for clearing this up!

Thank you! This has answered most of my questions! The only thing I’m still not clear about: I’ve signed up for the free credit freeze through Equifax. How long does that freeze last, and what happens when it expires?

Does anyone know what will happen after the 30 days? Is that just how long you can sign up for a free freeze? Or does the freeze lift after 30 days? OR do they start charging you for the freeze after 30 days? How long does the freeze actually last, and will you ever be billed for not lifting it or opting out? I’ve

What kills me about this is I just signed up for CrashPlan eight days ago as a new subscriber. They were happy to take my money then! I’m sure they knew they were going to discontinue their service a week ago, so they should have removed the option to become a new subscriber! And, of course, they won’t issue refunds.

Aldi (in the US) has a fair version of Jaffas in stock. Unlike the imported Jaffa Cakes I’ve bought, Aldi’s is never stale!

You know what’s better than the Crunchie Bar? Australia’s Violet Crumble! It’s similar.. but better, denser, bigger. It’s also harder to find and more expensive, but it’s a good treat when you can find it. My other favorites are Coffee Crisp (Canada) and Toffee Crisp (UK). Coffee Crisp is especially amazing.

Adrenal fatigue may not be real, but the symptoms listed in this article all are. I have serious adrenal and thyroid conditions (I’ve been a regular patient at my endocrinologist for the last 28 years), and these are sometimes...debilitating symptoms that I deal with on a daily basis. I strongly doubt that Gwyneth

This is probably true, although, in my experience, the people with the fullest carts are also the people who want to pay by check or by debit with cash back and they can’t get their card to go through on the first ten swipes..

I just stick it in the microwave for about 6 minutes (for a large-ish squash), let it cool for a short time, and then easily slice it in half. Then, I continue to roast it in the oven until it’s done. I’ve tried this method with acorn, butternut, and spaghetti squash, and it’s proven to be the quickest and easiest way

This isn’t new, though. Ben Williams responds to the second comment saying you can opt out of ‘acceptable advertising’ by following these directions:

Any help for people with Firefox? Lifehacker’s actually been the worst with the Pokemon shit, especially because I expect more from this site..
