I'd be much more interested in a socket adapter that acts as a receiver, like you're suggesting, instead of this idea of stuffing a new receiver into every bulb. So wasteful, both of money and resources.

What made the original hilarious for me was that all the players were in typically-overwrought hardcore raider mode, and Leeeroy's unscheduled, unauthorized, and ill-fated burst of enthusiasm demonstrated how silly they were being. I didn't get that from this.
