I sided with the Railroad at first, until I realized that every synth they “rescue” would have their memory wiped anyway. If the Railroad is so concerned about synths being individuals deserving of freedom, why is it that the first thing they do to a freed synth is remove the individuality that made them want to be

You so perfectly summed up the complaints I have about the factions it's like you read my mind.

Seriously doe, there’s a scale of coherence to the factions, starting from the Minutemen, to the Railroad, down to the Brotherhood of Steel, and finally the Institute.

The Minutemen are boring, their quest structure is boring, but I mean objectively what they’re doing is pretty much decent by any metric. Not to mention

The Institute is pretty much the bad guy. All roads lead to their destruction.

The biggest problem, Patricia, is that there simply isn’t enough narrative depth in the storylines. The Institute is the most glaring example.

So the synths are murdering people just to make the planet look nice? That’s even MORE insane! Not only are they killing people for no real reason, they’re wasting tremendous amounts of resources for absolutely no gain.

To be fair, my character literally stopped a synth from killing his original and taking over his life. To me, the Railroad seems amazingly foolish because it’s pretty obvious that the synths are not to be trusted.

I’ll be honest, the Brotherhood’s “FUCK YOU THIS IS MINE” mentality is one of the reasons I adore them, because it essentially what every player does down the line anyway. If you could honestly say you’ve never killed an NPC for a unique weapon... I still probably wouldn’t believe you actually. RIP Sergio

Oh yes. In fact your settlers over time will be replaced by Synths. Not all of them, but some of them.

I hate that the polar opposite to moe has to be gristly violence. Can people not do anything mature and beautiful anymore without bloody murder?

Anime, like everything else, is beholden to Sturgeon's Law: 90% of it is derivative crap. Run-of-the-mill anime are designed for mass market appeal and it shows in everything from the character designs to the plots. The groundbreaking and memorable anime we reminisce over are the outliers, the products of the right

I've actually always been a fan of classic 60s/70s anime style... Stuff like Tetsujin-28, Astro Boy, anything Tatsunoko... Great color and bold linework.

I still prefer the art styles from the mid 80s to the mid 90s. Few shows or manga have really spoken to me the way that character designs form artists like Haruhiki Mikimoto and Masamune Shirow have. More often than not Anime from the last five years comes across as terribly bland to me, visually.

I prefer the 90's designs... man, my old is showing.

Seems like they're becoming less and less human. Maybe in twenty years they'll just look like Greys.

As long as it's skin tight it's within his aura and therefore indestructible. Or in the old days it was Kryptonian fibers and indestructible anyway. It doesn't have to look indestructible according to human standards to be indestructible.

He's Superman; he's indestructible/invincible, why does his costume have to look durable in terms of human vulnerability?

Yup.

Are you kidding me? There are still millions of dreams to be achieved. An infinite number, I think, as there will always be new frontiers to get to.

I feel like they're trying to go for a more "modern" look, since everyone knows spandex is silly. They're telling us "It's okay that they're wearing a skin tight costume, because IN REAL LIFE, it's actually just really really really flexible body armor."
