I'm not sure if it's intentional for the character, or if it's because the actor was sick, but it's almost disturbing how emaciated Christopher Evan Welch looked when he was on stage. It's not as bad when he's sitting down (which he usually is), but when he's on his feet it looks like he's going to fall over
