@denki: English is a mongrel language. The United States is a mongrel country and video gaming is a mongrel culture. To complain that they're using one particular word of Japanese wrong is like attacking the tip of an iceberg with a zippo lighter.

"Wonder why Nintendo went with "Zapper", then, when they could have gone with "Wii Hand Cannon"?"

@denki: Not only are you arguing against the word 'Otaku' on kOtaku, but you're forgetting that 'Geek' began as a derogatory term originally meaning a simpleton, but later defining carnival sideshow freaks, and finally hobbyists.

Evidently Mr. Jobs hasn't been paying attention to the Augmented Reality Game scene, a genre that's being pioneered... er, on the iPhone and the App store.

@HeadspaceCools: The kids book itself is excellent. Brilliantly weird and dark in a way that only an author like Neil Gaiman can come up with.

Stop taunting me, Sega. ;_;

@Falsoman: The fuss is that if you can run unsigned code on the phone, then you can run programs and games on the iPhone that Apple haven't been given money for.

"Walters was a senior writer focusing on the characters Wrex and Garrus"

What is the purpose of the goggles?

@Violent St. Cannon ([k]): But you have to deal with both the illnesses and the kids' day to day wellbeing and happiness. It's one thing to prolong life, but without giving them a way to enjoy it it's meaningless.

The real ingredients of Grog are;

@Gabbelgak: Yes, but Netflix isn't a service that's provided by most for free.

@xone9: What about people who don't play online? Strangely enough, plenty of us prefer Fallout 3 and Bioshock over Halo 3 and Gears of War 2

@DragonYen: Yes, but alternatively, not everyone who would find this feature useful plays games online, which means that they either have to ignore the service entirely, or pay £40 a year, mostly for a service they find absolutely no use for, to pay for a much cheaper service that they would.

I don't think that 'Editor's Choice' from OXM and a BAFTA for best Action/Adventure classes as GOTY.

@qwerty: I don't take issue with your point that boycotting creations over their socio-political views is a little over the top. I just feel that Orson Scott Card has a much better claim to the creation of Shadow complex than Hitler has to the creation of vegetables, so the comparison doesn't hold up particularly

@Maxyboy13: I've got that, Year One and Long Halloween on order at the moment. If useless bloody Waterstones ever gets copies of them in, at least...

@marfin: When will 2D fighters just die?

@qwerty: Hitler wasn't a vegetarian, not by modern standards at least. Also, vegetarians do eat things that aren't vegetables.

@Sammo21: If you think Guevara was worse than Robespierre, you're sorely mistaken.
