Yeah, when the headline referred to “modern issues” I thought that might mean PrEP, hookup apps, greater gender fluidity... This is frankly distasteful.

As I recall, the original UK series had a rimming scene early in the first episode. That’d be hard to top... (pun intended.)

Oof. Yup - wholly unnecessary.

Well, whatever Lance Bass said or did, it’s been removed.

Where’s Baby Jane Hudson when you really need her?

That headline DID NOT PREPARE ME. The Republican/right wing preoccupation with “purity” takes some pretty fucked up forms.

I’ve seen writers at other GMO sites say similar - it is indeed a licensing thing.

How did anyone not realize that it’s Mira Sorvino’s “businesswoman” voice from Romy & Michelle??

Oh, do listen to it. Any description of his behaviour I could provide wouldn’t get near doing it justice.

That’s a great podcast. The episode about Jim Caviezel was BONKERS.

At least fewer people seem to be “clapping back” these days. There’s that.

This is why I’ve always been highly suspicious of George Clooney. His reputation for years was largely based on what a prankster he was on set, which just sounded like so much passive aggressive frat boy bullshit to me.

As another non-American, you need to work on your reading comprehension.

Truth. I really miss shows where it was just a person with an engaging personality telling you how to cook in an aesthetically pleasing studio or home. Ina Garten being a primary example...

I read the book, & it wasn’t a terribly satisfying experience either. Aside from the protagonist, the characters were not all that well fleshed out, & the reveal of the killer was anticlimactic. Changing their identity for the movie (to hopefully make the reveal less random) may have been the best choice made here.

She’s made fatphobic comments, insinuated that an ex was gay on a podcast, threw a shit fit over the website Go Fug Yourself (which is one of the least problematic websites covering celebrities out there)... Her reputation precedes her.

Thank you for this - as a longtime fan of the Adrian Mole books, I plan to seek these out immediately.

When I saw that name on the screen any hope I had that this might be enjoyably vicious & dark vanished.

I noticed the same thing, but only on my phone. I can still access the whole site/individual tweets on my computer.
