100% agreed. I am a political lefty actively pursuing adding an EV to the garage, and will not buy or lease a tesla. Although they are the most price competitive, the biggest reason we won’t get one is Elon’s downfall into being a rightwing edgelord chad.

My brother and I did a MST3K style watch of the first one over Christmas. It was quite fun.

Odd take/perspective. Growing up in the 80s and 90s Ferraris were “cool/exotics”, when you saw one on the road it was a once in a lifetime experience other than seeing it on a poster or magazine. Now with every video and angle of any exotic car, super car or hyper car online now there seems to be not so much wonder or…

Again, the 328 Hommage. Just crazy in all the right ways.

I think the Avant was even better. Loved these cars back in the day and years later even test drove an identical one but the AWD was acting odd when I test drove it so passed.

No love for the “aero” 100/5000? A car that set a trend for an era, and beautiful to boot. It was a revelation in 1982, like a spaceship come to earth.

Looks more jelly bean FWD sedan. Like a 2000s Nissan Maxima.

I’m old enough to remember when Hyundai hit these shores with the $4995 Excel and everyone laughed. Stunning how far they’ve come. 

The Malibu Maxx would have been a better starting point, IMO.  The rear hatch at least distinguished it from every other ‘90s sedan.

E60 M5. The failures are well known. But they’re mostly fixable. The prices aren’t where I’d expect them to be for a V10 4-door super car, so it’s really tempting. Really, really tempting.  I wouldn’t depend on it for long drives, so maybe it’ll be fine!

“Balanced” is not searching to find a few silver linings in a steaming pile of shit that overpromised and underdelivered for a much higher cost than advertised and continues to be in a beta state of release.
