I have enough expensive hobbies as is. I am going to have to stick to doing it 1:1 scale.

I averaged 22-24 with the manual driving pretty conservatively in the mountains. It was actually a really decent first car back in 1998-99.

I had the ‘89 GT with a 5 speed manual, it has the 2.8 MPFI v6 that wasn’t horrible at all, I ended up getting decent 20s in MPG and having more than enough FWD power to not feel like a chump on I-70 climbs.
It wasn’t a pony car, and was FWD based, but handled just fine and had decent driving characteristics

I can’t argue with #1, but 30 Rock is too low, among a few other minor quibbles like Venture Brothers not being rated higher but I get that it isn’t really as popular.

I missed the ask, Oh My God Road/Virginia Canyon in Colorado is also a fun jaunt, from Idaho Springs to Central City.

AWD Astro Vans are almost always awesome.

Black Bear Pass isn’t reccommended for amateurs when it is open, it is a fairly challenging 4x4 trail according to the trusty Funtreks. I still direly need to get to the Telluride region for some 4wheeling while the Montero is still stout and capable.

Musk finally got called out by someone on equal footing for the absolute clown he is, I just severely dislike all parties involved.

That is precisely what I did mid pandemic before prices got stupid for under 20k.

I put in $24-26k for price range, manual transmission, hatchback, wagon, coupe or sedan for body, and this Isuzu Impulse came in at a perfect @24,500 amid a sea of Mazda 3s and Subaru Flat Brims. LOOK AT THOSE DASH CONTROLS! I think the rims are also fantastic.

I’m disappointed in myself that I understood all of this.

The SWB 70 series is extremely awesome and I want one.

All the prophecies have some sort of plague, boiling oceans, etc.

This guy makes decisions like drunk people on Amazon at 4am.

That is a very adept interpretation of how they ride, indeed. I’ve always called it a truck for that reason, it rides like one most of the time when I’m the only one in it. Especially the SWB.

This was someones first project.

BRING BACK THE MONTERO YOU MORONS, JUST LOOK AT THE BRONCO

The 90s were truly a magical time.

I wholeheartedly applaud you taking up the 2 wheel mantle.
Just know that this means I assume you are going to die, doubly so in NY. But you’re writing for Jalopnik goddammit. Keep doing so.

My cousin is an ATC out of Iowa, moving back to Colorado to work out of the Longmont airport next year, I love this kind of info. We play War Thunder planes all the time, my other cousin is out in Oshkosh for the airhshow with his family. Lots of pilot/ATC adjacency for me, and they’re always the best story tellers.
