Start looking for future classics, cars that aren’t top of the line AMG or M badged stuff from the mid thousies to teens with sleeper cred.
Because that is about the only reasonable place to find an enthusiast car for around 20k if you are willing to do some work or pay a mechanic for upkeep costs.

Can’t be “online” at work all day while driving mountain canyons without it! Have to run the cellphone as a wifi hotspot and keep the laptop from going to idle by hitting the mouse pad every 8 minutes or so, but it works with an inverter for extended trips.
