If you see it for what it is, i.e. an Outback competitor, you understand that people don't want to take it off road. The Outback does surprisingly well in inclement climates, and the extra suspension travel helps the regular driver to avoid obstacles. I'm all for people buying this instead of a Toureg, when all they

This is a great idea because it might convince Subaru to bring their diesel to America.

The EG33, one of the best engines Subaru has ever produced? Based on the EJ22, a bulletproof engine that is commonly used as a base in engine builds. I've never heard of the engine in an SVX causing issues. In fact, most EG33s outlast the car around them and get used in VW buses.

If rumble is the subject, where is the conjugated verb?

The Corvettes' what?

I see a little Alfa beak in that grille. So it's either a tribute to the overlords, or its a single-fanged Viper.

We remember it here because a few of us are crazy enough to own one. Does the world remember it? I doubt it. A Lexus fighting GT Coupe that in JDM trim came with four wheel steering, variable torque distribution, and windows that are reminiscent of the Mclaren F1. Perhaps it was because of the cars abysmal sales on

Yay for the SVX making #2, and also, screw you lifetime filters!!!

Some engines are modest. Don't hold that against them. Others are ugly. Do hold that against them.

Subarus had horrible cup holders until 2003. I had a 1996 Legacy GT (exactly like what you have pictured), and the cup holders were worthless.

Just throw in all transverse engine mount based AWD systems and you're golden.

I addressed this exact issue below, except that Subaru also put a non-serviceable inline oil filter into the oil feed line to the turbo in their turbocharged cars. Removing the filter voids the warranty, and even if you do change your oil at religious intervals, the turbo still may grenade at 100k miles.

My Legacy has a pre turbo cat. Subaru removed the pre-turbo cat in 06 or 07, as it only helped emissions when the engine wasn't at operating temperature.

Non-serviceable inline metal mesh screened oil filters. The idea is to keep particulates out of very sensitive areas of a car, like the transmission or turbo. However, they clog, can't be cleaned out, then eventually starve your transmission/turbo of oil and kill it. It killed the turbo in my Subaru, and it's to blame

Woo! I remember first seeing a V8 Barstool racer on a Speed TV show hosted by Stacy David. I thought it was awesome that they hook a V8 to a Hydrostatic transmission normally found on a lawn tractor. Awesome. Awesome to the max!

I imagine that has a bit to do with the gear ratios and turbo lag. You can't make a fast 0-60 if you have to shift right when the boost hits.

Sounds like you need to up the boost in your Saab.

Looks good to me. I think I'll just go with no stickers for now. I do have tint, and I'd hate to mess that up.

I don't either, but exterior window stickers are doomed to failure. Ones that are printed in reverse and affix to the interior of your window are much nicer, in my opinion.

Can the Jalopnik stickers please be clear background stickers that apply to the inside of your windows?
