Subaru claims it did most of the work on the BRZ platform, and that Toyota just donated some tech, like the direct injection for the FB engine. I wouldn't call the BRZ a Toyota badged as a Subaru, and I think few would do the same.

Where did you hear that the SVX came with a manual transmission overseas? They all had AWD aside from a few 94-95 models, and as far as I knew, the only difference between the US and JDM models was a traction control system and four wheel steering.
It's only 'Murica where they don't sell LGT wagons any more, and they stopped in 2008. Every other market can still get them.
