Mandy Lane
IIRC, this was the movie we were about to screen at the Belcourt (theater in Nashville) then something happened to the print. While we were waiting for the fix, someone from the studio called and said to stop the screening, they were pulling the release date. The little bit we got to see looked pretty good.

@enkidum: No. AD's grammy wins that year (as are most grammy wins) werethe result of having released a financially successful record. Critics, White, rock or otherwise, don't choose grammy winners, and in fact critics best-of lists don't often feature the grammy winner prominently — though I must say rap is the one

White rock critics also put a stamp of approval on "gangsta rap (Straight outta Compton placing high on pass jop list as well)." I don't recall anyone proclaiming either of those acts you mentioned the future of rap music. They can't be blamed for the whimsical way non-harcore rap fans recieve rap music (by popular,

Just glad to see Louie still getting cred for Pootie.

You must be just a lad, then.

they already gots a "supergroup"
with Erykah Badu and Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman, all as talented and less high on crack than Winehouse.

"based on the fact that his cameos are typically why people liked those films in the first place. "

I would put Ju-on and the US remake on about the same level, which is to say they sucked. While I am a huge Kurosawa Kiyoshi fan and loved AUDITION (is it really a horror film? dropped in '99?) it is DRAG ME TO HELL for the win.

@mastercopy It's common knowledge Prince is a sports fan. Did you miss Charlie Murphy's story abt Prince playing basketball (very well) on Chapelle Show?

Cheadle is far and away armed with more depth as an actor but I just don't see him as Rhodes, the trailer has done nothing to disabuse me of the notion. But you know for a "comic book movie" there sure are a lot of Oscar nominations in this cast. My how Raimi has changed the paradigm.

Neither were "the worst thing to happen to ska." Their biggest sin was becoming popular. Besides, No Doubt showed us how much of a ska band they were with their next record. Skell outs.

Good ones . . .

It isn't only the quality upgrade and watching at 24fps but (ostensibly) the extra room for extras that piques my interest in Blu-ray for classics.

Jo Jo's Boring Adventures
I said some of this two years ago. People stopped watching the show not because it suddenly started sucking, they just realized that it always sucked. It was res ipsa cool because there weren't any shows about super heroes, no good once since that William Katt thing in the 80's. Heroes was a

Good point Ruler

But where is the blu-ray oh where
bud?

I'd been wondering what Kusama was doing. I can remember being all set to follow her career, then . . . what career?

Well that got more responses than those here who actually bothered seeing it. lol

This movie needs Forrest Whitaker
'Cause it kinda sounds like Species.

The lack of responses
Proves a point made in another thread.
