Geez, I’m getting old—-I could’ve swore I was complaining about the lack of an epic Selleck Mustache on the new Magnum last fall when it premiered.

Lowest legal pay for a crewman crossing international waters is $850 USD a month. That explains why most ships are crewed by workers from low-income countries.

In fairness, we were usually the ones doing the piracy. Certainly by the twentieth century anyway.

Got my second Pfizer on Tuesday.  Other than a sore arm and minor brain fog yesterday I am good to go.

First Gear: I wonder about the impact of M-B work vehicles on their sales. I see a lot of new postal vans with an Eagle on the front that should be a Tri-Star. Just yesterday I saw a truck go by with 6 new Metrises with wraps for a big local pest control company. There’s a house flipper two doors down using a high box

I got my J&J shot yesterday around noon. Me between 8 PM and midnight:

This, along with the story of blaming the woman pilot who wasn’t even on the ship is another example of how shitty people can be treated by the powers to be.

I generally agree with the Tesla bashing, but, if they have a factory almost ready to go, and the government isn’t able to tell them when they might be able to start using it, 16 months into the process?  Replace Tesla with any other company and they’d be crying just the same.....

Has a pay period passed where it should have been included?

Dude needs more recognition, for sure!

His story is a pretty good metaphor for average workers everywhere. Quite literally keeps the business afloat and gets no recognition or even fair remuneration.

Thank you for sharing this story. I wondered who this loan worker was and I agree he needs to get paid for his heroism. Financial markets were put at ease by this one man’s bravery and perseverance. We can all learn a lesson from this man’s dedication.

But yeah, people are buying too much car

Nissan seems to be willing to steer people into financially precarious loans for the benefit of dealers’ profits. It’s not putting the customer first.

Before long we’re going to hear stories about people who were refused a sale because they wouldn’t agree to insane financing terms.

No Christmas card for you, prudent shopper.

Some dealers may discriminate.

Just bought a car yesterday and the finance person made some huge assumptions before meeting with us. She had the paperwork drawn up with zero down and 72 and 84 month options with helpful breakdowns of monthly payments including all of the extended warranty and add ons they offer.
I told her we were doing 10k down

They should ask their new corporate pals, Mitsubishi, how well this works out.

Nissan’s plan is literally to be the car of poor people.
