How long until this is in their ad campaign:

Could have been worse. They could have let their stylists come up with something. I’m not saying that GM stylist aren’t talented, I’m just saying that they only have one tool in the toolbox for Silverado styling

Wait, the company that teased a mid-engined Corvette for, what, 20 years or more is saying that an EV pickup will be out soon?

I definitely think electric pickups will be high in demand, the utility of just having juice for any number of powertools is going to be a big benefit over the gas equivalent. I also think there’s just a lot more demand there than people realize. everyone thought Tesla was crazy doing the model 3 as a compact EV when

I hope they do some great explaining about what towing will do to that range during both the sales pitch and on the infotainment screen or some folks are going to be big mad.

I’m not with you on that last thought. That wheel was spinning, and could have gone any direction. The truck on his right had him boxed, and who knows what vehicle was on his left. Hitting it straight-on is probably safer than hitting it at an angle. I’m not a motorcycle rider, but I suspect dodging that was a lot

Put yourself in the same situation as this guy and you would’ve hit the wheel too. Not only is this obstacle completely unexpected, but there wasn’t even enough time to process it and make a decision on what inputs to give to the bike. The only real option was to hit it.

any new manufacturing wouldnt be up and running for nearly a decade.  chip fabs arent simple things.  if it was that important they would all collaborate and build a fab to use for themselves and not have to rely on foreign supply chain.  but they arent.  they cant even design a decent ui in their vehicles.  they make

GM decided they would fall under the GMC brand. They used to be AM General/Hummer brand. Back in 2010 when new GM shut them down, a lot of dealers were pretty pissed at having invested in upgrading their showrooms per manufacturer’s request in the mid-2000, then having to shut them down ~5yrs later. Im pretty several

1st gear:

5th: Dealers: “We don’t want to sell EVs! EVs don’t sell! Our customers want big peepee trucks!”

1st Gear:”The Alliance for Automotive Innovation is the biggest auto industry trade group in DC, representing pretty much every major automaker.”

Huh, i just realized that there might be another huge reason to make Hummer the first rollout of EVs instead of just calling them Chevys.

You know, there are some people who need a truck for their work, but also only want to have one vehicle to be able to use on the weekends/time off with their family.

Yes, because nobody uses them to tow boats, haul trailers, put shit in the back of that you wouldn’t want inside a car, carry construction tools and supplies, etc. I have an EV and a Tacoma and there are things I do that require a pickup. I’ll be switching it for an electric truck whenever a small and/or reasonably

I’m guessing you don’t live anywhere near Texas, because I see Platinum and King Ranch F-150s and F-250s on the road every day, along with Laramie RAMs and whatever the high spec Chevy/GM is called.

Something tells me this is an “If I can’t enjoy myself, NOBODY gets to enjoy themselves” kind of dad.

“Still in jail, huh, honey? Too bad. Did I mention the room service at the resort? I did? Well, we get room service. And we went on all your favorite rides, twice, because you couldn’t be with us and it made us feel close to you. In a way where you weren’t actually there.”

On the plus side, the rest of the family went on to enjoy a four-day overbearing-Dad-less vacation of a lifetime!

Disney people can truly represent the worst our society has to offer.
