Thats completely different than my experience. It might be that i used cheaper optical discs. But many of them have been scratched to the point of being unusable, and many have been "washed out" (where the top layer becomes see-through and laser shoots through it).

While you might be right on some things, i believe you forgot to take into consideration that all of his predictions are meant to come in 10-15 years.
