Snuze: Needs another Swede
markg

I want another sports car like the S2000. But since we need to be all green and stuff now, why not do a drop top hybrid sports roadster. Think of it as a poor man’s 918, or maybe like the love child of the CR-Z and an S2000.

Because ‘Murica!

I think you’re probably right, it all comes down to cost and margins. It’s a shame, though, because it really is a good little car with a lot of potential to really shine.

Holy thread resurrection!

Well, looks like it’s time to go home and fire up the CAD machine. Shit ain’t getting done tonight...

Well, as far as things go I think you’re on the right track. I think there’s a big push to move towards distributed lethality, which makes a lot of sense.

Actually... holy sh.... you might be on to something there... Distributed point defense system. Hmmm

Exactly

I work on the LCS program, we’re already on it. Expect the Navy to start disposing of their conventional munitions any day now...

Well these days I’m down to one beat old Honda CB-1 that needs a ton of work. I’m trying to unload it, and the wife and I are looking to buy a house this year. Once all that’s settled I’ll be looking for a new bike.

Thanks.

I’ve always wondered this myself and I don’t have a good answer. I know the mechanism to make it work is a bit more complicated, but you eliminate the need for a tail rotor and all the associated mechanisms, so I don’t see total parts count being drastically different or anything.

I believe so, yes.

I like the Ford ST’s, nice cars.

They counter-rotate which cancels out the torque created, eliminating the need for a tail rotor.

I don’t own one so I wasn’t aware of the cooling system issues. Thanks for that information.

I think you just wrote the beginning of an awesome sci-fi/psychological thriller

I agree, it’s not terrible. At least it shows they are still giving a crap about this car.

I have to agree with you here, but I’m curious to see what Toyota’s end game is on this.

Sounds like marriage win!
