Snuze: Needs another Swede

I wish I could give this more stars.

I’m a bit confused - what do you mean by control the actual jets? Are you talking about the fuel injectors?

Interesting, I’ve always wondered about that myself. Freevalve seems like it would be amazing because you get virtually infinite valve control. But you are adding a lot of weight, complexity, and now need a high pressure air and hydraulic system. I’ve always wondered if that tradeoff was worth it.

I think the application is just too big for piezos. I know a guy that, years ago, was trying to do solenoid valves on a little single cylinder for a college project. It worked... up to about 1500 rpms, i.e. barely above idle. I think you’re going to run into the same issues with piezos. Pneumatics just hit the right

The original purpose of the snorkel was actually for dusty environments, to pull clean air from higher up. This would save you from changing air filters every 50 miles.

Thank you for the information and appreciate your thoughtful response.

Thank you for the information. I’m not sure why I thought Canada has free post secondary education. I know it’s more common in Europe, but for some reason I thought Canada had this as well. Are there gov’t subsidies available to help with costs?

I haven’t heard him promise “free money,” but I have heard his plans for free tuition at state schools and a single payer healthcare system. And neither of which are unreasonable - countries like Canada and Germany are able to pull this off without destroying personal freedoms or inducing crippling personal debt like

Exactly. She disgusts me every bit as much as Trump does. It’s going to be a very, very low note in the history of American presidential politics if those 2 become the nominees.

I consider myself more right leaning, but of all the candidates in this election cycle so far I like Bernie the most. And I really have no other reason than he seems to have a shred of integrity about him. And that’s a damn hard thing to find in a politician.

The F1 was the first production carbon fiber monocoque chassis. However in the case of the 918 the hybrid drivetrain, AWD, torque vectoring, etc. had all been done before, it was merely the first car to jam all these technologies together under one bonnet. Thus I could argue that the F1 was more of a technological

Hmm, I think there’s 2 points to make here:

Amen. I’ve never been a huge Veyron fan and have been singing the F1's praises over it every chance I get. I realize now they occupy slightly different market spaces, but still, in terms of sheer innovation, I don’t think anything can ever top the F1.

I think people were expecting a bombshell. It’s not the the Chiron isn’t amazing, it is, but it just feels like a refreshed, updated Veyron with more power. Again, amazing what they can achieve but it’s evolutionary, not revolutionary.

I’ve always thought Lambos were ugly until the Aventador. This just continues the trend for me, I think it’s gorgeous.

I think you’re right here and in your reply to Tom - this model will help squeeze some profit out for a pretty nice chunk of buys and adding a new engine would have cut in on that. It makes good business sense to me.

I’m with you on this, I think it needs a minor power bump. Even on the C6's the GS got a few ponies more (6?). It doesn’t need to be enormous, but I think around 500HP give or take would be the sweet spot. It’s a nice, round, even number of ponies which makes it compelling enough to buy over a base stingray, without

I know, I used to work in ordnance for the Navy. They used to always tell us how safe and stable modern propellants and explosives are. But, just for good measure, we weren’t allowed to smoke near it anyways.

At the 2:00 minute mark, love the guy smoking a cig while loading shells.

This is just more reason to go back to carburetors, distributors, and 8 track tapes. Keep them darn ‘puters outta mah car!
