Not necessarily true - getting the crap scared out of you usually works, and occasionally age and wisdom. I’m much slower and more cautious now than I was 10 years ago.

It is highly dependent on the command. When I was in the Navy they basically didn’t give a crap if you owned a motorcycle as long as you didn’t try to bring it on base. If you wanted to ride on base you had to prove that you had a license/registration/insurance and had completed the AMA Motorcycle Safety Course or

Completely agreed. But this is a start. There’s a lot of people out there, civilian and military alike, who are riding without any sort of training whatsoever. I was one of them for several years, and then when I finally took the class it was like “holy crap! there’s so much I didn’t know!!!”

This is great! As a vet and a motorcyclist this makes me really happy to hear.

The Titan, codenamed “Triple Nickel” for the stock truck’s 555 lb-ft torque rating, also probably because it sounds cool, is packing lowered suspension, an aggressive air dam, and a parachute.

That Speedster is so sexy, it’s already got me thinking about taking my Saw-z-all to my buddy’s NC Club edition. I’m sure he’ll thank me for it.

Holy Shit! I had no idea anyone remembered this. This was a crucial piece of my childhood.

How do you know I’m not already an uncle with an El Camino sitting in my front yard?

A lot of parts of a submarine interior are painted a lighter shade of teal, for similar reasons.

The launcher can also rotate through about 180 degrees and elevate as well. It’s not fixed in that position.

Came here to say this.

Doug, legitimate racing question - may have been covered already but I didn’t make it through all the comments - how did you launch it? Did you just mash the gas when the light went green? Or did you do a neutral drop? Or foot-brake it and hold it at a launch RPM?

Yes it does... HNNNNNG!!!

Yeah, I agree with you, the issue is going to be if the tow company is trying to hold the item in question in lockup. I think we’re on the same page here.

Interesting. I just got my first stamp recently. The process took a while, but was realtively painless, as far as these things go. Got a 22 can and now I’m hooked, so I think I’ll be adding a few more things to my collection.

I know quite a few police officers, and exactly one is a gearhead. He has a 1983 Audi UrQuattro that he’s resto-modding to look like the factory car raced at San Remo during some particular year I forget, and he’s got a Peugeot 205 GTI. I think he pretty much makes up for all the other officers.

I would guess the ATF would be pretty understanding in this case, as long as the repo company reported it right away. They are going to have a lot of questions for the owner of the NFA item though...

Same thing happened at UMD a few years ago, but the guy hit a pedestrian bridge. Luckily no-one was on it, and it didn’t completely demolish it, just knocked some supports out from under it.

I’m going to post a really unpopular opinion, but here goes:

Whoa! What a bunch of badasses. Thanks for sharing, Tyler.
