Are you sure they are chemical? I believe the only way to deposit this is electroplating. I rebuild a lot of Honda CRF450 dirtbike engines, and they used and electoplated liner (can’t remember if it was Nikasil or Alusil). It was costing $350 to buy new jugs each time, but I found a shop that could replate them for

Plated liners have been around since 1967, Mahle took out the original patent.

Wut?

Flat planes aren’t particularly Ameri-tacular. In fact when I think of them, I think of this:

I think the point is there are more cost effective and more efficient ways to implement this. It’s kind of like getting a paper cut on your finger and you leg chopped off simultaneously. Solar roads are attempting to put a band-aid on the finger.

I think the F430, or the 360 for that matter, will be barely remembered at all, footnotes in the history of Ferrari, down there with the 400i or Mondial. Aside from a few specialty models there is really nothing to set these cars apart. The way I see it, the F355 gets all the credit for saving the brand. It’s also one

This is all well and good, but how about a practical application? Make a ghost car, or those green-yellow-orange-red racing lines and braking zones. It could be a great track day tool.

Haha, good call. I’d pretty much forgot that existed. Which is probably why no one is doing Spec Hummer...

As always, good stuff Tyler. And thanks to Mr. Ruzicka as well.

I think it needs to be like King of Hammers meets RallyX - there’s some paved road sections, some offroad sections, and even a lowspeed section with obstacles. Maybe not a full on rock-crawl, but something treacherous.

This is crap, Doug. How did you pull off this magic? You get to track a Hummer, but I can’t even AutoX the GMC Dually.

You and your husband both kick ass!

Holy thread resurrection!

Also good choices, I pretty much just love metal

Good point. But I do really like Whitesnake. To be honest I’ll probably just blast any kind of 80’s metal - Ozzy, Crue, GNR, Tesla, etc.

This is by far one of my favorite cars on the planet. As much as I would love to own a Ferrari or Aston or McLaren, I’d be far happier with an IROC. Gut it, cage it, put in a nasty small block, and only ever listen to the dual exhaust and Whitesnake!

“Paint me like one of your french girls”

Great read. I’ve always had a lot of respect for Erik Buell, he’s a really sharp guy with great ideas. I’m in the market for a new bike soon and keep kicking around the idea of an 1125 or maybe even an XB12R.

No one shot at me, which in Texas is an indicator of success.

My god, yes! But I’d rally just about anything.
