Snuze: Needs another Swede

Oh, I was hoping the air bladders would help it float. Hahaha

I used to have a Dodge Ram 4x4, and before that a Subaru WRX. I'd take the Subaru over the Ram for snow driving as long as it's 6~8" deep or less. After that you need the ground clearance. But my thought has always been if there's more than 6" of snow on the ground there's probably not anywhere I need to go that

I used to be guilty of this, letting the car idle for 3-5 minutes, maybe even longer if it's really cold. It wasn't an issue of warming me up, but I just thought the car should run till the temp gauge started to creep up. But I've been convinced in the last year or two to change.

Really? That's petty crazy. Does it float?!?

Whoa, I love that stance!

I don't know if it will help sales at all. I think generally when you get to that price point, you're not worried about $3k. If it was $10k less, I think you'd get peoples attention, but that isn't going to happen. And I think this is the reason:

Makes sense to me. I don't know that much about wireless comms. Although I wonder what would happen if the battery in the transmitter died while you were driving?

I wonder what they use then? RFID?

I think it's a pretty ingrained feeling. I always double click the locks on my car as I walk away, I find the horn chirp reassuring.

Someone just needs to explain to me how to outfit my apartment with one.

Coupled with BMW's night vision technology, Laserlight can provide early warning of people or animals at night from a distance of up to 100 meters, or about 330 feet. Amazing.

There were 2 Chevrolet Cobalt forums, and they despised one another. Absolutely cut throat.

I just said "Screw it!" and stayed in my apartment in McLean and didn't even try to leave until 1030 this morning. I was watching people slip and slide around 123 and Chain Bridge Rd. since 7. My poor little Snuze does OK in snow, but I don't need to be tearing it up or risking life and limb just to go to work.

I actually really like the look of this little car. What this needs is something in the 1.2 to 1.4L range making 100hp/L with ITB's, a 10,000rpm redline, and a 6 or 7 speed sequential gearbox. Basically a CBR1000RR on 4 wheels.

I'm still wondering how the Nissan/Cummins marriage came to be. I always thought Cummins was firmly entrenched with Dodge. Maybe with Fiat moving the Ram 1500 Ecodiesel to an in house solution, Cummins is looking for an exit strategy in case the whole Ram line moves to Fiat diesel, and Nissan is able to capitalize

But I bet they would know it keeps it grounded to the ground.

Elon Musk is going to build a Better Metal Snake!

This is a bit more complex than your DIY solution, but I recall reading some of this years ago. I admittedly never kept up with the progress on this project, but it is interesting.

If I remember correctly, he was actually looking to sell the car when it happened. I think he kept it for a couple months after that but eventually got rid of it and got something beige like a Honda or Toyota.

Not sure if this is better or worse than replacing turbos on the 2.7L Bi Turbo...
