“So because you don’t enjoy something you’d be okay with making it so other people can’t enjoy it, even though it doesn’t affect you one iota?”

Profit has very little to do with quality. I haven’t seen it so I can’t say whether it was good or bad (I’ve heard it’s not great), but I just wouldn’t use box office gross to point to quality. Especially when we’re talking about a theater, when people may see a movie just because the first one was good.

Exactly. It was also made at a time when more people would go see the new big movie in the theater just because that’s the thing to do on a weekend, and you could attract an audience with known celebs. I don’t think we live in that time anymore (added to the fact that the movie doesn’t really have any box office

I theory perhaps she does, but in reality she does. I don’t think the audience was that interested in this firm, regardless of whether they are a man or a woman. They keep making Spider-Man movies because it is still a vibrant, popular franchise. Charlie’s Angels is not.

Does being a feminist now mean that you believe women can’t do wrong? Funny, I always thought it simply meant that the sexes should be treated equally. How dare anyone oppose a powerful woman's right to fuck her subordinates.

I voted for Hilary (and Obama before her), so I don’t know what to tell you.

I think the reaction on here and much of twitter is solely rooted in the fact that she’s a woman and Democrat. It’s really that simple.

Well, that’s certainly one way to spin it. Another way to put it is that it was revealed that she’s a woman in a position of power who had an unethical and problematic relationship with at least one subordinate. I have no doubt that the people on this site would be clamoring for a resignation if she were a man, and I

I don’t know, I think the liberals defending Hill are irritating than the dumb conservatives. The hypocrisy and double standard is glaring. She’s a woman in a position of power who had (it appears) had sexual relationships with a subordinate. The relationship is a clear abuse of power. I hope she’s removed from

Like many sites that touch on politics, Jezebel has one set of standards when the problematic person is someone they like (or at least is politically aligned with and another set when it’s a person they don’t like). You’re 100% right though, Jezebel would be far less forgiving if the person in a position of power were

I can’t help but think that if the boss in this scenario were a man, you wouldn’t have this reaction.

You got me. I yield.

My bad. It had always been my impression Armenians are not Caucasian. Regardless, I have a hard time thinking Jezebel would be that understanding if we were talking about some blonde haired, blue eyed guy named “Chris”.

“Even though the real villain here isn’t Jenner, but the economic system that enabled one person to amass so much wealth in the first place...”

Yeah, fuck him for taking his craft seriously. He should probably just phone in everything like RDJ.

That’s an exaggeration. He didn’t even play that large a roll in the direction Suicide Squad took, after it was reedited by a company that does trailers.

The driver was doing Lizzo a favor. She could stand to miss a meal or two.

Tiffany probably just needs to wait a couple years and Lizzo will be working there too.

Lyft’s response = the most horrifying corporate mansplain I have read in probably a decade.”

I’m speaking more to how people SHOULD act, rather than how they actually have to.
